Australia as a nation is a relatively modern construct, therefore, one would assume that the cradle of its inception would be honored and protected for generations to come. However, it seems that the ideology of development is immuned from considering natural beauty, indigenous culture, history and the needs of the local community. Yarra Bay is nestled within the overall catchment of Botany Bay and is earmarked as a potential site for a new International cruise ship terminal. Jess spoke with Maria Poulos from Save the Yarra Bay Coalition about the shared concerns of the local community.
