Tess spoke with Luca, one of the event organisers for the School Strike 4 Climate about the urgent need for social action.

The School Strike 4 Climate is a group made up of students around Australia who have serious concerns about the state of our environment and want the government to know that doing nothing is not an option for our future. They have three demands:

1. No new coal, oil and gas projects, including the Adani mine
2. 100% renewable energy and exports by 2030
3. Fund a just transition and job creation for all fossil-fuel workers and communities

For those in the Sydney area the local School Strike 4 Climate march will be held in The Domain from 12pm today. Wearing yellow is a way for those unable to attend to show solidarity for the cause.
