Science Spotlight: BEES! (Again)

It’s time for Science Spotlight. Each week we talk about the fun facts and big breakthroughs made in the pursuit of scientific knowledge.

Bees are cool. I think we can all agree on that. They pollinate flowers making them a lynch pin in all ecosystems. They make hives that are engineering feats. Some even make the honey we have on our toast. But that is just the tip of the iceberg as to what bees are capable of. The bee lore is deep. Cameron chatted with Dr Scarlett Howard of Deakin University on his podcast Stardust MQ about bees’ cognitive abilities, including the ability to recognise optical illusions. Here’s a snippet of that conversation.
