Science Spotlight: The Black hole Next door
It’s time for Science Spotlight. Each week we talk about the fun facts and big breakthroughs made in the pursuit of scientific knowledge.
This week we have big news. For the first time ever, scientists have taken a picture of the supermassive black hole at the centre of the Milky Way. This is only the second time a supermassive black hole has been imaged, the first being the one at the centre of the galaxy M87 in 2019. Cameron is naturally very excited. He sat down with friend of the show, and equally excited Dr. Tanya Hill to talk about this supermassive development.
