Since the Western invasion of Iraq in 2003 and the more recent Arab Spring in 2011, the flow of world news has been dominated by the extremism. But how much do you really know about terrorism and particularly, what has it done to the very people who have to live in the middle of the conflict itself? In the first part of a special two week event, our Hans Lee spoke to Scott Anderson of the New York Times Magazine about his most recent project Fractured Lands: How the Arab World Came Apart. This week, he spoke to us about the wider conflict and how the Arab Spring even mirrors World War One!
