Scott Morrison’s James Cook Passion

Prime Minister Scott Morrison recently announced that, in honour of the 250th anniversary of James Cook’s landing on Australian shores, the government will sail a replica of the HMS Endeavour around the country.

The announcement follows the government’s doubling down on keeping Australia Day on the 26th and its attempts to reinstate pride in this country’s history.

But will this move backfire and push voters away?
