Sea Snake Hotspot Now Deserted
Hundreds of kilometres from the northern coast of Western Australia is the idyllic waters of Ashmore reef. Expeditors in the 60s and 70s said that the reef was home to more sea snakes and different types of species than anywhere else in the world. Now, they’re all gone- and we don’t know why. Blanche D’Anastasi, a PhD student from James Cook University who is investigating the sea snakes vanishment joined us on The Daily to discuss more.
