Seen and Heard Film Festival

It’s been 2 years since the Seen and Heard Film Festival was in Sydney and on March 31st, and they are returning for 1 night only. The theme of the night is in part to celebrate women in cinema, but on this special night, they are also asking for viewers to donate to the ‘Let Them Stay’ campaign that aims to raise funds for refugees in Australia. They will be screening the film “The Drover’s Boy”, directed by Margaret McHugh. The film is set in the 1920s in Australia during a time where it is still illegal for white and Aboriginal Australians to marry, where a drover disguises his Aboriginal wife as a drover’s boy. Joining Celline to discuss the event is Lucy Randall from the Seen and Heard Film Festival.
