Senate Green Light Inquiry Into The Aboriginal Flag
The licensing and use of the Aboriginal flag has come into the spotlight in the last few weeks after the AFL abstained from using the flag during their Sir Doug Nicholls Indigenous round.
Since then #FreetheFlag movement has gained momentum online and come to the attention of parliament, who announced last week they would launch an enquiry into the flags licensing and use.
But who will to benefit from this enquiry? What are the possible outcomes? and will they be able to reach a consensus that favours the community and the flags creator Harold Thomas?
