SEVERE FLOODS: Is this the new normal?

The catastrophic floods that have hit major parts of Southern Queensland and Norther NSW have devastated Australians  in every way possible, with more torrential rain to come. Questions is, is it really a ‘once in a 1000 year’ event or are serious natural disasters the new normal for the future?

Senior Lecturer, of Environmental Science at University of Western Sydney, Dr Ian Wright joined us earlier to discuss what elements leads to regular occurrences of severe natural disasters.
