SFF 2017: Interview – Anocha Suwichakornpong, director of By the Time it Gets Dark

By the Time it Gets Dark is a new Thai film screening at the Sydney Film Festival.
It begins with a young film director interviewing an older woman about a massacre of university students 40 years prior – and shifts across multiple perspectives to create an abstract portrait of contemporary Thailand.
It’s a film for those seeking uncompromising and unique filmmaking.
2ser’s Chris Evans sat down with writer/director Anocha Suwichakornpong to talk about the difficulties of creating such a challenging film.
