SFF 2018: Interview – Sari Braithwaite, director of Censored
Before the introduction of the R rating in 1971, films were subject to heavy censorship in Australia.
Filmmaker Sari Braithwaite delved into a huge archive of footage cut by the Australian government to create Censored.
Censored is edited together entirely from these excised clips, and aims to examine the nature of censorship and spectatorship.
Censored screens this afternoon at the Sydney Film Festival.
Chris Evans from 2SER’s Film Fight Club is speaking here with Sari Braithwaite.
