Jazz Made in Australia

The material Paula Langlands presents for the program each week is drawn from a wide selection of Australian jazz recordings as well as bringing you the latest releases. At times the program may include a segment of ‘Lookin’ Back’ to the recordings and history of Australian jazz of earlier times.

Occasionally Paula Langland's like to present a ‘special’ program, it may be an interview with an Australian or International guest or a focus on something that I believe may be of particular interest. Some previous ‘specials’ have included interviews with Mark Murphy, Sheila Jordan, Kurt Elling, Charlie Hunter, all International performers, and Australians Judy Bailey, Mike Nock, Joe Chindamo, Blaine Whittaker to name a few. Some special focus programs have been Lookin’ Back to El Rocco, Emerging Young Jazz Performers, Freedman Fellowship Finalists and The Genius of Roger Frampton.

If you are a musician with a new recording, some interesting archival material, news of National interest such as a major performance, jazz event or tour – Or you wish to get information or comment on the program, please contact me direct on paula.langlands@optusnet.com.au
