Slamming It Down At Bankstown!
The rise in popularity of Slam Poetry has given young Australians a new avenue to express their concerns and opinions on deep issues in an artistic and meaningful way. Leading this movement is the team at Bankstown Poetry Slams who host Australia’s most popular slam poetry competitions. The fabulous poets Layla Mkhayber from Bankstown Poetry Slam and Amani Mahmoud, who last year was a finalist of Bankstown’s slam competition, join us to talk about how slam poetry is exploding across the nation!
Bankstown’s second slam competition of the year kicks off on March 27th. There is a $5 entry fee, bring your friends along for what’s going to be an exciting night!
