Social Interaction & Protecting Mental Health in Old Age

New research from Macquarie University has shown that establishing meaningful social connections can protect your mental health in older age, and improve treatment outcomes for those already managing anxiety or depression. We were joined by Professor Viviana Wuthrich, Director of the Macquarie University Faculty of Human Sciences Research Centre for Ageing, Cognition & Wellbeing, to discuss the importance of joining social groups and developing connections in later life, and the links to longer term mental wellbeing.
