Solar Gardeners Swap Pruners for Panels

Solar gardens may not smell like lavender and roses but they’re the perfect alternative to installing panels on your roof.

Haystacks Solar Garden is the first of its kind in Australia and provides a renewable energy solution to some of the 35% of Australians locked out of rooftop solar who are located in the Inner West.

The 1 megawatt community garden is located in the Riverina region and is a joint project between Pingala, Komo Energy and Community Power Agency.

2SER Breakfast’s Alex James spoke with Kristy Walters, Community Engagement Lead from Community Power Agency, to learn how a solar garden operates.
