Solomon Islands prepares for ‘most important election since independence’
Voters in Solomon Islands will head to the polls today for a high stakes election which will be closely watched across the Pacific–and beyond.
However, recent debates over China and Taiwan in the Solomon Islands are unlikely to sway voters more concerned with domestic issues, according to Dr Terence Wood from the Australian National University.
