A Melbourne woman has popped up in the news after she was sought out by a third-party debt collector to pay for an ambulance fee after she called an ambulance for a homeless man. For some Australians, calling an ambulance can leave you with a hefty payment, but for others, ambulances are covered by their State Government. Dr Michael Eburn, an Associate Professor at the ANU College of Law, joins The Daily to unpack why some states are footing the bill for ambulance services.
