Sound Sorcery: Magikal jam session for all

Where can Sydneysiders go to enjoy an inclusive and accessible open jam session?

Sound Sorcery is an ongoing jam session which is open to artists and music lovers from all diverse backgrounds, abilities and genders to get together for a fun night out!

With little to no open & safe spaces for women and gender diverse music enthusiasts to get together for a jam and a boogie, it got likeminded friends from The New Normal Collective talking. Talking turned into planning and later blossomed into the current project, Sound Sorcery.

Annie Lee was joined by event organiser Sarah Homeh (bassist, vocalist and  front-women of all women jazz band Monstress) and host of the upcoming jam session, Jade Kenji (Australian-Vietnamese  artist and  front-women for her music collective QOSMEA) to chat more on what to expect on the night.

This week the theme is Jazz and Hiphop and tune into the interview to get a little taster  of what to expect on the night. as Jade Kenji will be mixing it up with free styling rap, Jazz and a tasteful amount of RnB.

Everyone is invited to join in on the jam session withe their own instruments, borrow one that’s already on stage or simply enjoy the vibe & free flowing music.

So come along to the Bearded Tits Redfern this Thursday 28th of March from 7pm to enjoy a magical night of Hiphop and Jazz.

Best of all, it is a FREE  event but spaces fill up fast so booking is a must!
