Soup of Human Kindness

Located in Sydney’s inner-west is a social enterprise café and bookstore called ‘Parliament on King’ that has been training and offering employment to asylum seekers and refugees for about five years. For the last five weeks, the team at Parliament on King have joined forces to set up a temporary soup kitchen called the ‘Soup of Human Kindness’ to help keep some of their staff afloat during these most difficult times. We had with us, Ravi Prasad, the owner of ‘Parliament on King’ café,  to chat about the recent initiative that has helped its staff of asylum seekers and refugees survive the pandemic.
