South Africa Passes Motion To Seize Land From White Farmers Without Compensation
The parliament of South Africa has passed a motion that could see land being seized from white farmers without compensation. The leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters Julius Malema has stated the move would be a bid to ‘restore the dignity of our people without compensating the criminals who stole our land’.
Dr Geoffrey Hawker, an Associate Professor of Politics and International Relations at Macquarie University, joined us on The Daily to talk about this motion.
