South China Sea Islands

It’s not the biggest bit of water on the map.. But it sure is important. The South China Sea continues to raise international tension. Australia and Malaysia are holding talks on keeping China to it’s word on leaving the islands free of a military presence. It seems as if everyone is picking sides.. India has pulled away from being directly involved, not wishing to antagonise their neighbour.

But how much can talk really have an effect? What is likely to happen within this region in the coming decades? Mitch Talks with Associate Professor Felix Patrikeeff from the University of Adelaide on the matter.
