Speed Rail in Australia

When head of CSIRO, Dr. Paul Wild visited Japan in the early 1980’s, they had already implemented the inconceivable –  inter city bullet trains that made public transport trips ultra fast. His dream to bring this form of ultra fast travel to Australia has continued to sparked controversy and in 2019, Australian politicians are still debating whether this dream could ever become a feasible reality.

Today the Daily spoke to Marion Terrill Director of the Transport and Cities Program at the Grattan Institute.
