“Sphexishness” An Interview with James Lemon
James Lemon is a Naarm Melbourne-based ceramics artist hailing from Te Awamutu, Aotearoa New Zealand. James is known for his highly colourful, tactile, and sometimes slapstick works, often incorporating materials beyond just clay into his sculptures and ceramics. Sydneysiders may know him from the art installation in the Ace Hotel in Surrey Hills. James has his first solo Sydney Show “Sphexishness” is open now at Sullivan and Strumpf until the 3rd June.
