Sport 2030 Report – the good, the bad and what’s missing
Last week, Australia’s first national sports plan, ‘Sport 2030,’ was released, bringing with it ambitious goals and fairly generalised strategies to combat some of the country’s leading health and sporting problems. Among them, a target to get 15% more Australians active per week, a greater focus on grassroots sports, and changes to the Australian Institute of Sport.
To discuss the report and its overall effectiveness, The Daily spoke with Assistant Professor of Sport Management at Bond University, Lisa Gowthorp.
