State library NSW sees demand for multilingual books
The State Library of NSW has seen a surge in demand for books in to read in community languages.
As the library’s multicultural service celebrates its 50th year, more than 35 thousand books in languages other than English are reaching readers across NSW at any one time.
The State library has grown from 14 languages from its opening in 1974, to 43 languages in over 69 thousand books on its shelves today.
