Stickybeak: Why Does Anyone Become A Politician?

Politicians make the world go round, even though some of them think the world goes around them… but why is this? What causes someone to go into the career of being a politician, and how does the job change those who do it?

Macquarie University students Jono Wakeley and Lachlan Hodson set out to discover the inner workings of the mind of a politician. They speak to political historian at ANU Dr. Frank Bongiorno to find out the history and the perception of the career politician.

They also speak with the Member for Kennedy, Hon. Bob Katter MP about why he does what he does, why he believes other people go into politics, but most importantly, how often someone is torn to pieces by a crocodile in North Queensland. Classic Katter!
