Stroke care improving, but not enough in regions

A new report from the Australian Stroke Clinical Registry found out hospitals are improving with stroke care.

While it’s a good step forward, more needs to be done, particularly in regional and rural hospitals and clinics.

The report also included new targets to reduce damage from patients suffering from a stroke.

The Wire’s Eduardo Jordan asked Data Custodian from the Australian Stroke Clinical Registry for The Florey Institute Professor Dominique Cadilhac, why stroke care is not provided equally across the country.
