Students Hit Back at Anglican Schools

Imagine if you got expelled from school just because you were gay? Or fired from teaching at that school for the same reason? These scenarios have been all the talk at the moment after the principals of 34 Anglican schools wrote an open letter to the government about religious freedom. The schools demanded that they maintain their rights to religiously discriminate following the news that Morrison’s government was planning to review current religious freedom laws. This received massive backlash from former students, with petitions and protests soon following. We spoke to Felicity Wilson, a former Abbotsleigh student who started a petition and organised a protest over the weekend.
