Sufjan Stevens, Staged & more – Wayne’s 4 x 2
We’re rather chuffed here at 2SER to know that this next segment has been hitting home-runs left right and centre.
And we love him for it.
Wayne Massingham cheers dude. Largish.
Wayne’s been with us almost a year now – coming up with 4 delightfully succinct and genuine cultural reviews every week for The Thursday Daily.
Sydney thanks you Wayne! We thank you.

Reviews this week: (click on arrow in blue box top right to listen to Wayne’s reviews)
TV – David Makes Man – OWN / HBO – coming of age story set in Miami. A gifted student comes to terms with the travails of life as he attempts to find his way in the world.
FILM – The Trial of The Chicago Seven – Dendy / Netflix soon – true story of anti-war activists in 1968 America and ensuing trial that threatened to undermine democratic values and cause chaos across the USA.
ALBUM – Sufjan Stevens – The Ascension – 8th album from the brilliant and unique talent that is Sufjan Stevens. Complex, involved, and slightly more electronic than his previous work – it keeps giving.
TV – Staged – BBC / ABC iView – following a TV production shutdown due to Covid, it is decided to turn the shutdown into a show, via video-conferencing technology. Michael Sheen and David Tennant shine in this funny, highly topical production.
