Supply diversity: a win-win for indigenous businesses and government
This year marked Australia’s first Indigenous Business Month. Started by the latest cohort of MURRA, an accelerator-style business masterclass at Melbourne Business School, it has seen indigenous business owners connect with government and corporate departments to secure stronger relationships that benefit everyone involved.
Eliza Goetze chats to MURRA program director Michelle Evans about the unique challenges and rewards for indigenous business owners and UTS Fulbright Scholar Dean Jarrett, pictured, who is researching supply diversity – the concept central to new government policy which aims to bring indigenous businesses and government departments closer together.
