Support the Newtopian Dream
Help the NNC take on homelessness.
Homelessness is a growing issue across inner-Sydney, and has risen by about 28% since 2011. To tackle the issue and raise much-needed awareness, Newtown Neighbourhood Centre (NNC) have organised their first sleepout, Newtopian Dream, on August 29 where participants will experience what it is like to sleep in Newtown Square for a night and engage with local community workers. Funds raised through the event will go towards provide assistance to the Inner West’s homeless population, and those at risk of being homeless.
Nic will be participating in the sleepout, and he spoke to NNC’s CEO Liz Yeo about the event and why providing assistance to the city’s most vulnerable is important. You can support Nic over on the Newtopian Dream website.
