Supporting Our Aussie Teachers In Times of Turmoil
Australian educators are at the forefront of most of the lives of toddlers to teenagers across the country, many having a lasting impact. However in times of uncertainty it is sometimes easy to neglect the mental health and well being of staff in schools from teachers to support staff.
And whilst teachers are doing a wonderful job of keeping the school communities across the nation together, continuing to educate and providing vital support to both students and teachers alike, the pressures placed upon educators for emotional competence, reassurance and support are now higher than ever. So how can we better support our educators in such uncertain times for the educational sector?
The Daily was joined by Dr Meera Varadharajan, a research fellow from the Centre For Social Impact at the University of New South Wales to speak with us about ways we can better support Aussie educators.
