There’s nothing quite like that feeling of a freshly trimmed and styled hairdo. It might not just be the confidence of a transformation but that safe space created between you and the hairdresser/barber.
Dr Hannah McCann at the University of Melbourne is researching the role salon workers play within our communities. She believes that culturally we underestimate the important social work undertaken by salon workers.
