A recent survey of over 500 journalists highlights growing concerns about the impact of generative AI and social media on journalism, particularly as the Federal Election approaches.

The Medianet 2025 Media Landscape Report found that many journalists are struggling with the adoption of AI tools and the rise of misinformation, with 88% expressing concerns about AI’s effect on journalistic integrity.

Additionally, the report revealed a significant decline in trust in the media.
