Sustainable Seafood Week

Have you ever wondered where the seafood you’re eating is actually sourced from? How do you know that it is sustainable?

The Marine Stewardship Council(MSC) has found that 74% of Australians believe we should only consume seafood from sustainable sources, yet only 9% buy certified sustainable seafood. At a time when 81% have actively changed their diets to help protect the environment, with almost a quarter (23%) choosing flexitarian and pescatarian meal plans, it is important to know if what we’re eating is environmentally friendly at all.

Tess Connery chatted about this consumer confusion and how we can have as little of an impact on our oceans as possible with MSC’s Oceania Program Director, Anne Gabriel for Sustainable Seafood Week.
