Sydney Biennale Moves Online with Diverse Lineup
The Sydney Biennale was one of the first major art showcases to make the transition into the digital realm this year. Largely featuring works from First Nations and gender diverse artists, the theme of this year’s exhibition is Nirin, meaning ‘edge’ in the language of the Wiradjuri people, showcasing groundbreaking works by diverse artists. The exhibition’s online display extends beyond physical art, featuring a podcast series and instagram tours.
We were joined by Associate Professor Felicity Fenner from the University of NSW Art & Design School to discuss more about the Sydney Biennale’s move online.
