Sydney Festival Review: Meow Meow’s Little Mermaid
Acting 2SER Manager Steve Ahern went to see Meow Meow’s Little Mermaid as part of The Sydney Festival.
Meow Meow brings us a fairy tail gone rouge with a decidedly un-Disney cabaret – in which she subverts Hans Christian Andersen’s mermaid tale of teen self-sacrifice, salvation and seduction. Steve determined that it is much more than just aquatic puns and trapeze caberet and suggests you should go and see it tonight for yourself!
