Sydney Latin American Film Festival returns to Dendy
The 12th annual Sydney Latin American Film Festival (SLAFF) is returning to Dendy Opera Quays this September 7th – 11th. Over five jam-packed days the Festival will screen a specially curated program of captivating contemporary Latin American cinema to include eight feature films, two documentaries, and seven shorts, along with vibrant opening and closing night parties.
The 2017 program focuses on diversity and representation through stories of human resilience, political turmoil and redemption to provide an engaging insight into the vast cross-section of Latin American cultures.
Nic spoke to festival programmer Gisselle Galego about what to expect from this year’s installation.
