Syrian women face challenges with lack of reproductive healthcare

Six months after an earthquake that killed over 8,000 people in Syria resulting in millions of women with lack of proper reproductive healthcare.

Hospitals destroyed by the earthquake and attacks on healthcare facilities make pregnancy and infant care dangerous.

Conflict has left 4.6 million people trapped, with 80% being women and children in overcrowded camps.

Non-for-profit organisations from Australia are currently working with local, Syrian organisation to run a hospital, addressing the shortage of medical staff, especially gynaecologists.
