Take a Coat : Leave a Coat
Most of us probably have a number of winter jackets handy when the cooler months arrive, even if it’s shoved in the back of a wardrobe or stored in an attic, it’s there! However, not everyone is fortunate enough to have a winter coat. There’s one person trying to change that. Joining Danny in the studio by phone is Rick Everett, founder of the Take a Coat : Leave a Coat community initiative.
Newtown Mission serves up to 500 meals a week to people doing it tough and the coat rack is there with warm winter coats for people to take as they need.
If you’d like to contribute to the Take a Coat : Leave a Coat project, you can drop off at Newtown Mission on King Street, Newtown Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10am and 4pm.
