We talk with Sharon Van Etten about music, TV and going back to Uni

Brooklyn Based musician Sharon Van Etten has one of those distinctive, haunting voices that’s instantly recognisable, even when she’s guesting on a track rather than producing her own work.

Very recently she revisited her first album Because I was in Love from 2009, remixing and re-editing it into the just released It Was Because I Was In Love. I chatted to her yesterday afternoon, catching her as she arrived in Carolina for a family Christmas Break. We talked her motivation for revisiting the album, her role on Netflix’s original series, The OA and Twin Peaks and going back to school as a mum.
