Tayamangajirri: We look after each other

With education being such an important part in improving the quality of life of Indigenous Australians, information in the Closing the Gap report that only approximately a third of indigenous children are completing high school in the Northern Territory has spurred the indigenous community into action to approve this statistic. With school attendance such an important part of learning, a night patrol program on the Tiwi Islands has proven successful in ensuring that the next generation of children remain engaged in learning.

To talk about the work to keep kids in school and out of trouble, we had the producer of the documentary Tayamangajirr Sally Ingleton on the line.
