Forced to manage unsustainable workloads during an unprecedented time for education, and indeed, the world, teachers have become one of the unsung heroes of the pandemic.
But while student needs are only growing, teachers salaries are falling behind.
The NSW Teachers Federation has started a new campaign, More Than Thankyou, which asks for a pay rise more consistent with the vital role that teachers play in our society.
Their bottom line – pay teachers what they are worth.
