Teaching Multiculturalism in Schools

With up to 25% of Australians born overseas, we live in a diverse and multicultural society. Nowhere in Australia reflects that more than in Sydney. Yet our perceptions of Australian identity, and what we see in the media, doesn’t always reflect that.

Working to change this are organisations such as Together for Humanity who aim to educate and inspire school children to connect with the diversity of the world around them.

Zalman Kastel,National Director of Together for Humanity joined The Daily on the line to talk about his experiences and some of the challenges of teaching multiculturalism in schools.
