Teaching Positive Psychology in the Classroom

In Victoria an interesting collaboration has been developed in schools where students are learning about positive psychology in the classroom.  Researchers from the University of Melbourne’s Centre for Positive Psychology are collaborating with schools to encourage students to gain autonomy of their own well-being.

It’s not a cookie cutter model, each school has their own context and therefore their own plan. The students run their own initiatives in the schools to enhance their peers wellbeing. A skill researchers hope students will take with them throughout their life.

To find out more about the program we spoke with Dr TC Chin, Director Of The Wellbeing Profiler at the Centre for Positive Psychology at The University of Melbourne.
