Tertiary students and homelessness. Why are students such a big part of the homeless demographic in Australia?

Recently released Census data has revealed almost 11,000 tertiary students are homeless, making up nearly 10 % of all homeless Australians. Chairperson of National shelter and deputy president of the Australian Council of Social Service, Mr Adrian Pisarski joins us to discuss these findings. We’re going to flesh out why students are such a big part of the homeless demographic in Australia and consider the role of government support in alleviating student homelessness.
