Texting and Anxiety

When you feel sad, is your first reaction to jump on your smart phone to text someone, or to watch a video of a cat. Smartphones are cool, and they have many advantages. When Steve Jobs unveiled the first iPhone in 2017, he probably wasn’t thinking about how smartphones would change the way we process uncertainty.

To tell us about the link between over using our phone and mental illness, Matt is joined by Dr Danielle Einstein, clinical psychologist at the Sydney University and also in the Department of Psychology at Macquarie University.
