To celebrate the arrival of summer, the end of the year, and the fact that we simply can, I (Lachlan A’Court) took The Tuesday Daily out of the studio this week and onto the sandy shores of Manly Beach! The entire show- three whole hours- were broadcast outside as the waves crashed, the seagulls squawked, and beachgoers looked on in confusion. But I didn’t do it alone! Along with the ride for me for the whole time was comedian Max Dary, and what a joy it was to have him there.

Max and I spoke all things beach together while playing some games (an ice cream taste test), hearing some very interesting stories (about penguins, sharks, seagulls, and sandcastles), and debating whether or not my grandad really did catch a fish with his bare hands one day.

We were joined on the show by special guests Stephanie Chambers from the Sydney Bird Club, Dennis “The Sand Man” Massoud, and Jack Hatfield the professional free diver.

A big thank you also has to go to Jyothika, Jess, and Air who helped produce the show with me and put together some of the very cool interviews that we managed to feature.
