The Buoys reveal their Lustre on sparkling debut
Debut albums are special. The Tuckshop have the privilege to talk to so many artists over the years, who have laboured over their debut record with love and care and many, many years of procrastination or preparation. You only get one debut!
So it is that The Buoys, after three EPs, many years of performing, a worldwide pandemic and – I am sure – sweat and tears of joy, Lustre is here and, as we expected, it’s brilliant.
It’s an album that weaves its way expertly between shared life experience, visceral anger, love gained, lost and discovered again and pure passionate self-exploration.
It feels like we are living this record with them and we were so stoked to have Zoe Catterall and Hilary Geddes from The Buoys with Mick and Jules in the studio to share even more of it!
